Analytics & cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand which books and pages people read, so we can make the site better. It only runs — and only sets cookies — after you choose Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your mind anytime via Cookie preferences in the footer, which also clears the analytics cookies.

The newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is sent to our form provider (Web3Forms) and used only to send you the weekly reading email. We don't sell or share it. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Book data & covers

Ratings, descriptions, and metadata come from Open Library, Hardcover, the New York Times, and Google Books. Cover images are hot-linked from Open Library and never stored by us.

Some outbound links to booksellers are affiliate links, marked rel="sponsored nofollow". If you buy through one, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.

No accounts

Qualisma has no user accounts or logins. Your reading-speed setting is stored only in your own browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device.
